From you have four ways to call to execute a program:

• The Eval expression menu entry or Ctrl-x Ctrl-e allows you to feed free expressions (see §6 page ) on one line and execute them. In this case, it is not necessary to type the including braces, for instance to run Makefile and go to the first erroneous line just enter: make(); go_next();

  after eval expression menu selection or Ctrl-x Ctrl-e key sequence.

• The Eval region menu entry or Esc e makes evaluate the free expressions or definitions of the current region, as if the region was placed in a file loaded by the loadfile function (§6.6.7 page ).
• The Load and eval file menu entry prompts for a file name and loads it as with loadfile.
• At last, you can bind a function with a key or a sequence of keys; thus when you hit this keys or sequence of keys the corresponding function is called.

Furthermore at start-up, the .xcoralrc  file is loaded by as with loadfile. In this file, you may load mode definitions, select fonts, ....
